Industrial Support Service LLC has won a US$156,000 contract to repair derrick cranes at McNary Dam’s navigation lock on the Columbia River.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District last sought bids for the work in December 2012, which calls for all engineering and on-site installation. The project seeks to replace cracked hubs on the heel of a fixed derrick crane’s boom.
HydroWorld.com reported in November 2012 that the Corps had issued a call for bids to supply submersible cable for the 980-MW McNary project.
