The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to provide a broad range of support services to its Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory. Bids are due April 16.
The Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab in Hanover is one of seven topic area laboratories in the Corps’ Engineer Research and Development Center. The Corps solicited information in 2012 from firms capable of providing the services. The Corps said an increase in the military’s “operational tempo due to worldwide operations” has boosted the Cold Regions lab workload beyond its current capability.
In a solicitation set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, the Cold Regions lab seeks support from multiple engineering disciplines, multiple science disciplines, administrative and program support, engineering technician, biological technician, physical science technician, grammatical and technical editors, computational analyst, physicist, geophysicist, and engineering science aid areas.
