The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has extended the deadline for applications for qualification from architect-engineering firms to provide design and planning services for civil and military works and other services in the western U.S. Responses now are due Sept. 30.
The Corps’ San Francisco District previously called for responses by Sept. 10. It took information last year on firms able to perform civil design, geotechnical, hydraulic and hydrology engineering services in the district. It also recruited firms in 2011 to perform geotechnical engineering work.
The district now seeks applications for qualification to support development of design-bid-build packages, develop request for proposal packages for design-build projects and provide multi-disciplined design support and consultant services. Services include civil design, structural, geotechnical, land and hydrographic surveys, hydraulic and hydrologic, electrical and mechanical including hydropower, and other fields.
The agency plans to award one large-business contract for $20 million and two small-business contracts for $5 million each. Each contract would have a three-year base period and a two-year option period.
A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912P715R0006 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box. Interested firms now are invited to submit Standard Form 330 packages to the address below by 11 a.m., Pacific time, Sept. 30. Forms may be obtained on the Internet at www.gsa.gov/portal/forms/type/TOP/category/22457/hostUri/portal.
