The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to take bids for construction and remedial work at government lakes and dams in Georgia and South Carolina. A solicitation is expected to be issued in early February.
The Corps’ South Atlantic Division, which oversees 33 multi-purpose projects in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama, issued a sources sought notice, saying it will seek proposals for the work from Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses located within the division. The division took responses in January to a more general sources sought notice for contractors capable of supporting lakes and dams construction across the division.
The Corps plans a single award task order contract for a base period of three years with two one-year options for extension. The maximum contract amount would be $14.5 million, with individual task orders ranging from $25,000 to $3 million.
The contract is to call for lakes and dams general construction and design/build construction intended to provide rapid response to remediation of real property for new construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, or repair of structural, mechanical, and electrical facilities, including hydropower facilities.
A sources sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912HN11R0013 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box. A solicitation is expected to be issued in electronic format about Feb. 7.
