Corps seeks geotechnical engineering in U.S. New England District

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites applications for qualification to provide geotechnical engineering services in the Corps’ North Atlantic Division, primarily in the New England District. Responses are due Aug. 31.

The New England District took information in February on firms able to provide the services. It took bids in 2011 for architectural and engineering services including water resources development work and in 2010 requested information on firms to develop risk analysis and reliability models for civil works infrastructure in the district.

The district now invites applications for qualification to perform many different geotechnical engineering and subsurface exploration assignments including detailed assessments or risk assessments of dams or levees and designs for dam and levee safety remediation. It expects to negotiate and award a contract with a five-year ordering period with a value not to exceed $4 million.

A solicitation sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912WJ15R0058 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.

Responses are due Aug. 31 to the address below. For information, contact Jessica Loc, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751; (1) 978-318-8678; E-mail: jessica.r.loc@usace.army.mil.
