The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids from small businesses to fabricate and deliver tainter gate hoist chain assemblies and lifting lug assemblies for the 100-MW Old Hickory hydroelectric project on the Cumberland River in Tennessee. Bids are due Aug. 9.
The Corps’ Nashville District previously said it expected to take bids about Aug. 4. Old Hickory, in Sumner County, Tenn., is among nine Corps hydropower plants on the Cumberland that a study found need as much as $470 million in repairs.
A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912P511B0012 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
