Corps to seek hydraulic engineering, design services

The Corps of Engineers seeks information from firms capable of providing hydraulic, hydrologic, and water management engineering and design services in the Pacific Northwest. Responses are due Aug. 14, 2009.

The Corps’ Seattle District issued a sources sought notice to determine the interest, size, and availability of firms to perform the work within the district’s area.

Major rivers in the district include the Nooksack, Skagit, Stilliguamish, Snohomish/Skykomish/Snoqualmie, Cedar, Green, Puyallup, Nisqually, Deschutes, and Chehalis. Also included are all major streams in Washington’s Olympic Peninsula as well as the Columbia River and its tributaries upstream of the confluence with the Snake River. Coastal areas also are included on the Pacific Ocean north of the Columbia River to the Canadian border.

The sources sought announcement may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912DW09R0087 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.

Expressions of interest are due to the e-mail address below by 2 p.m. Aug. 14. Firms are to include their Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Codes obtained from the Defense Logistics Information Service Internet site, www.dlis.dla.mil.
