Dam monitoring equipment sought for three Bosnia hydro projects

Utility Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina seeks bids to rehabilitate and modernize the dam safety monitoring system of three hydroelectric projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bids are due October 14.

The solicitation follows recruiting of consultants in 2007 by Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina and two other Bosnia utilities to assist in dam safety and rehabilitation work at several hydro projects. The European Investment Bank approved a loan to Bosnia and Herzegovina for rehabilitation of hydro plants and electricity distribution systems as part of the Energy Community of Southeast Europe APL 3 Project.

In the current solicitation, Elektroprivreda BiH seeks supply, delivery, and installation or rehabilitation of monitoring equipment for the 181.2-MW Jablanica, 57-MW Grabovica, and 210-MW Salakovac hydro projects. Work is to include reconstruction of geodetic marks and installation of geodetic equipment as well as implementation of a statistical and mathematical monitoring model and related data acquisition system. The work is to be performed from December 2010 to March 2012.

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below upon payment of 100 euros (US$131). Payment from abroad is to be through Raiffeisen Bank d.d. Sarajevo, SWIFT RZBABA2S or IBAN No. BA391610600000043340, Account No. 501012000-978-000-13. Payment within Bosnia and Herzegovina, 196 marka, is to be through UniCredit Bank d.d., Account No. 3389002208088319. Payments are to carry the note “For JP ELEKTROPRIVREDA BOSNE I HERCEGOVINE d.d. Sarajevo” with identification of purpose: Purchase of Bidding Documents No. EPBiH-ECSEE-APL3-D1-1/10-EIB.

Bids are due by 1 p.m. October 14 to the address below, labeled “Bid for Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Dam Monitoring System at the HPP Jablanica, HPP Grabovica, and HPP Salakovac.”
