DR Congo seeks auditor for power system

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has issued another call for consultants for its hydropower-based electricity system, this time seeking an internal auditor. Expressions of interest are due October 10.

DRC already seeks expressions of interest from consultants to develop guidelines and management tools for its power supply and export program. Those responses are due September 28. (HNN 9/10/07) With World Bank funding, the government previously solicited contracting and accounting support, auditing, financial management, consultants, and legal assistance to guide rehabilitation and financing of the Inga hydroelectric complex.

In the latest solicitation, the Ministere de l’Energie seeks expressions of interest from consultants to serve as internal auditor of the financial, accounting, administrative processes, and field operations of PMEDE, its program to develop electricity for domestic use and for export.

Expressions of interest, in French, are due by 3 p.m. October 10. They may be sent by mail or electronic mail and must be labeled �AMI/159R/PMEDE/BCECO/DG/DPM/HMS/2007 � Recrutement de l’auditeur interne pour le missions d’audit portant sur les processus financiers, comptables, administratifs et les domaines operationnels du projet PMEDE.�
