DR Congo seeks power system contracting, accounting

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) seeks expressions of interest from consultants to provide contracting and accounting support for its hydropower-based power supply and export program. Responses to separate solicitations are due August 21.

The DRC has received funding from the World Bank’s International Development Association and previously solicited auditing, financial management, consultants, and legal assistance to guide rehabilitation and financing of the Inga hydroelectric complex. (HNN 6/20/07)

In one current solicitation, the Ministere d’Energie seeks expressions of interest from consultants for contracting of construction, goods, and consultant services. Expressions of interest, in French, are due by 3 p.m. August 21. They may be sent by mail or electronic mail and must be labeled �AMI/164/PMEDE/BCECO/DG/DPM/HMS/2007 � Recrutement de l’agence fiduciaire specialisee en Passation des marches pour le projet PMEDE.�

In the other solicitation, the ministry seeks expressions of interest from consultants to provide financial management, accounting, and budgetary control. Those expressions of interest, in French, also are due by 3 p.m. August 21. They may be sent by mail or electronic mail and must be labeled �AMI/165/PMEDE/BCECO/DG/DPM/HMS/2007 � Recrutement de l’agence fiduciaire specialisee en gestion financiere et comptable pour le projet PMEDE.�
