James E. Rogers, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Duke Energy, will give the keynote address at the upcoming HydroVision International Conference and Exhibition in North Carolina.
HydroVision International, the year’s largest gathering of hydropower professionals, is planned for July 27-30, 2010, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Rogers, who has more than 21 years of experience as a utility CEO, has been chairman of the board, president and CEO of North Carolina-based Duke Energy since 2007.
Duke Energy is one of the largest electric power companies in the United States, supplying and delivering energy to approximately 4 million U.S. customers.
Rogers is chairman of the Institute for Electric Efficiency and the Edison Foundation, and he serves as co-chair of the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency and the Alliance to Save Energy.
HydroVision International will highlight perspectives on the role of hydropower, explore issues affecting hydro resources and help participants develop a vision to meet challenges and ensure the future sustainability of hydropower. The conference will bring together a broad range of worldwide hydro professionals with environmental, technical, social, and regulatory perspectives.
