Easky Construction wins bid for spillway gate repair at 90-MW Norfork hydroelectric project

The U.S. Corps of Engineers has awarded a bid worth almost US$2.293 million to Easky Construction LLC to replace spillway gate chains at the 90-MW Norfork hydropower project.

The Corps’ Little Rock District last solicited bids for the work in February, which calls for the rehabilitation of 24 spillway tainter gate hoists that operate the Norfork plant’s 12 gates.

The Norfork project is located on the North Fork River in Arkansas.
