EDF seeks generator reconstruction for 16-MW Saillant

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to rebuild the Unit 4 generator of the 16-MW Saillant hydroelectric project in France’s Correze Department. Bids are due November 30.

EDF took bids in May to replace penstock valves and related equipment at Saillant and the 22-MW Neuvic d’Ussel projects in Correze.

The work on Saillant, on the Vezere River, includes refurbishment and upgrading of a 1929 Thomson Houston generator. The work is to require eight months.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 5 p.m. November 30.
