El Salvador seeks construction supervision for 67-MW El Chaparral

El Salvador utility Comision Ejecutiva Hidroelectrica del Rio Lempa (CEL) seeks bids for supervision of construction of the 67-MW El Chaparral hydroelectric project. Bids are due June 3.

CEL already is taking bids by April 30 for turnkey construction of El Chaparral, including a roller-compacted-concrete dam, reservoir, and powerhouse containing two generating units on the Torola River. (HNN 1/22/08)

The utility now seeks supervision of definitive design, construction, assembly, testing, and commissioning of El Chaparral, an El Chaparral substation, and extension of a substation at the 99.4-MW Cinco de Noviembre hydroelectric project on the Rio Lempa. (HNN 3/10/08)
