EM equipment sought for India’s 60-MW Singoli Bhatwari

India construction and engineering firm Larsen &Toubro Ltd. (L&T) seeks bids for supply of the electro-mechanical package for the 60-MW Singoli Bhatwari hydroelectric project in India’s Uttarakhand State. Bids are due August 14.

L&T received a 45-year build-own-operate-transfer contract in 2006 for Singoli Bhatwari (or Singholi Bhatwari), on the Mandakini River in Rudraprayag District. It was one of nine projects awarded to five bidders by state utility Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (HNN 6/14/06)

On behalf of its L&T Uttaranchal Hydropower Ltd., L&T seeks design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the equipment in 36 months.

A bidders conference is scheduled July 2. Bid documents may be obtained until July 31 from the address below for 50,000 rupees or US$1,250 by demand draft to Larsen &Toubro Ltd. at New Delhi.

Documents also may be obtained electronically from L&T’s file transfer protocol (ftp) server after obtaining a user name and password by submitting an application for documents and the fee.
