Ethiopia seeks hydrological network for Tana-Beles Basin

Ethiopia’s Ministry of Water and Energy seeks bids to supply hydrologic network instrumentation for the Tana and Beles River Basin as part of an Ethiopia water resources development project. Bids are due April 30.

Ethiopia has received a credit from the World Bank’s International Development Association for the Tana and Beles Integrated Water Resource Development Project. The Tana and Beles project is intended to develop enabling institutions and investments for integrated planning, management, and development in the Tana and Beles sub-basins, site of the 460-MW Beles hydroelectric project.

The ministry recruited consultants in March to perform a topographic survey of the Lake Tana sub-basin flood plain.

The ministry now seeks supply and installation of hydrologic network instrumentation and data acquisition and processing hardware and software.

Bidding documents in English may be obtained from the address below for 200 birr or US$11 by cash or check.
