FERC seeks structural engineer for Division of Dam Safety

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeks candidates to serve as a structural civil engineer in its Division of Dam Safety and Inspections in Washington. Applications are due by March 21.

FERC also took applications in March for a dam safety civil engineer in its Atlanta Regional Office.

The agency currently seeks a GS-810-14 civil engineer (structural) at a salary of $105,211 to $136,771 for its Washington office. The position is responsible for inspection, engineering evaluation, and analysis of non-federal hydroelectric projects including dams to ensure safety and compliance with license terms and regulations. Candidates must meet educational requirements for engineer and have a year of specialized experience in applying structural engineering to investigation, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of dams and hydropower facilities.
