Fire protection systems work sought for five U.S. hydro projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to provide fire protection system maintenance services for five hydroelectric projects in Idaho. Bids are due Oct. 15.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District seeks services for four Snake River projects, 603-MW Ice Harbor, 810-MW Lower Monumental, 810-MW Little Goose, and 810-MW Lower Granite, and a project on the Clearwater River, 402-MW Dworshak.

The work is to include preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance services as well as emergency call-out services on the carbon dioxide and fine water mist fire protections systems, plus equipment appurtenances and accessories. The contract is to be for a base year and four one-year options.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF10Q0076 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box. Prospective contractors must register in the government’s Central Contractor Registration database, www.ccr.gov.
