French city seeks construction, operation of Taconnaz small hydro project

The city of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc seeks bids to build and operate the Taconnaz small hydropower project on the Taconnaz River in France. Bids are due October 15.

French hydro engineer Hydrostadium called for bids by September 10 to supply a cross-flow turbine-generator for the 1-MW Brides-les-Bains hydropower project in France’s Savoie Department. French hydro operator Societe Hydro-Electrique du Midi took bids September 3 to study and design four replacement turbine runners for the 272-MW Mareges hydroelectric project on France’s Dordogne River.

The city of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc seeks bids for construction and operation of the Taconnaz small hydro project on the Taconnaz at Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and Les Houches. The work is valued at 6 million to 10 million euros (US$6.7 million to US$11.2 million).
