French engineer seeks trashrack, fish passage for 8-MW Pebernat hydro project

Hydropower engineer Hydrostadium seeks bids to supply and install a trashrack and downstream fish passage at the 8-MW Pebernat hydroelectric project on the Ariege River in France’s Ariege Department. Bids are due February 3.

Hydrostadium, a subsidiary of Electricite de France, took bids in December to renovate the command and control systems of six hydroelectric projects operated by Electricite de France on the lower Maulde River in France.

Electricite de France has worked with Alden Research Laboratory and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) of the United States to install an Alden advanced hydropower turbine at Pebernat. EPRI conducted a site selection process and chose Pebernat as a demonstration project candidate.

Hydrostadium now seeks bids to supply and install a trashrack and downstream fish passage at the intake of Pebernat. The work is expected to require seven months.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 2 p.m. February 3 to the address below.
