French engineer seeks turbine renovation at 4-MW Bazacle hydro project

Hydropower engineer Hydrostadium seeks bids to renovate turbines and ancillary equipment of the 4-MW Bazacle hydroelectric project on France’s Garonne River. Bids are due September 29.

Hydrostadium, a subsidiary of Electricite de France, took bids in August for a replacement trash rake for the 7.9-MW Chavaroche hydroelectric project on the Fier River. The engineer awarded a contract in 2012 to Rouby of France for work at the 5.9-MW Panneciere hydropower plant on France’s Yonne River.

Hydrostadium now seeks bids for renovation of seven vertical Francis turbines, including installation of a cofferdam, disassembly and heavy maintenance to turbine wheels, bearings and other components, installation of temperature sensors and other work. The work is expected to require 12 months.

Bids, in French, are due by 2 p.m. September 29 to the address below. For information, contact Soizic Depaoli, Hydrostadium, 22 Avenue des Vieux Moulins, 74000 Annecy, France; (33) 450102522; E-mail: soizic.depaoli@hydrostadium.fr; Internet: www.hydrostadium.fr.
