French hydro operator seeks work to add turbine-generator to 1-MW Aya hydro project

A French hydro operator seeks bids for civil works, earthwork and mechanical work to install a second hydroelectric turbine-generator at the 1-MW Aya hydroelectric project on France’s Ardalos River. Bids are due May 5.

A municipal water supplier previously called for bids by April 27 to refurbish turbine-generators, controls, valves, transformers and other equipment of the 1.8-MW Merwent Dam hydroelectric project in France’s Vendee Department. Another water agency took bids last year for dam safety improvements at Graon Dam in Vendee.

In the current solicitation, a single-purpose municipal association, Syndicat Intercommunal a Vocation Unique (SIVU) de l’Aya, seeks bids for the work to add a second turbine-generator to the existing Aya hydro project. The work is expected to require five months.

Tender documents may be obtained until 2 p.m. May 4 from contractor Beteru at the address below. Bids in French are due by 2 p.m. May 5.
