French utility seeks turbine-generator for 320-MW La Coche

Utility Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to supply a 240-MW turbine and generator to the 320-MW La Coche pumped-storage project that generates power from eight rivers in France’s Savoie Department. Bids are due January 30.

EDF took bids in September to perform inspection and monitoring of the dam of the 11.8-MW Vieux Pre pumped-storage project in the Meurthe et Moselle Department.

The utility now seeks bids for two lots to supply the Pelton turbine and auxiliaries and to supply a 290-megavolt-ampere generator, excitation, and voltage regulation.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 4 p.m. January 30 via EDF’s procurement Internet site, http://portail-achats.edf.com.
