French waterways agency seeks inspection, monitoring of dams, reservoirs

France’s navigable waterways agency seeks bids for inspection and monitoring of dams and reservoirs on the Bourgogne, Briare, and Centre canals in France. Bids are due July 12.

In 2010, Voies Navigables de France (VNF) invited applications for pre-qualification to reconstruct and automate 29 dams and to add or refurbish hydropower plants at the structures on France’s Aisne and Meuse rivers.

In the current solicitation, VNF seeks bids to perform thorough technical inspections and auscultation — internal sound monitoring — interpretation. The government of French department Guadeloupe awarded a contract in 2011 to Anteagroup of France for auscultation monitoring of Dumanoir Dam in Guadeloupe.

Solicitation documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 4 p.m. July 12.
