Governor suppliers sought for French hydro projects

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks applications for qualification from companies to supply governors for EDF hydroelectric projects throughout France. Responses are due March 21.

The utility seeks suppliers for a five-year agreement covering renovation of a minimum of 54 units. Work would include studies, manufacture and supply of governors and spare parts, delivery, removal of old governors, installation, testing, and start-up of new equipment.

EDF said work would be in seven lots covering regions of the Alps, Dordogne, and Loire Ardeche, and Regulation Ain, Regulation Rhine, Regulation South, and Regulation STEP.
