Hydropower experts recruited by India developer

India developer Moser Baer Projects Pvt. Ltd. invites applications from hydropower experts to participate in its Design, Engineering, and Construction Review Team (DECRT).

Moser Baer is developing the 90-MW Miyar hydroelectric project (HydroWorld 4/4/08) and the 320-MW Seli hydro project, both in the Chenab River Basin of India’s Himachal Pradesh State. (HydroWorld 3/6/08) The developer also is pursuing various projects in the pan-Himalayan Region.

Moser Baer said its DECRT is a mechanism to critically review project designing and planning with the objective of economizing and optimizing the project works and execution time.

The developer seeks experts in the following fields: geology and geo-technical; hydrology and power potential; sedimentation management; civil and structural engineering; rock-science, tunneling, and underground works; and construction technology. Experience in the pan-Himalayan Region is an advantage.

Team members might be required to visit India project sites. Moser Baer is to pay all travel and lodging as well as compensation as mutually agreed with DECRT members.
