Hydropower plant owners, operators encouraged to submit nominations for 2015 Projects of the Year Awards

The editors of Renewable Energy World and Power Engineering magazines are now accepting nominations for the annual Projects of the Year Awards program.

Nominations are open to all forms of energy generation — including hydroelectric power — and will be awarded to new projects, upgrades and refurbishments that exemplify excellence in their sector.

Projects must have come online between Aug. 1, 2014 and July 31, 2015 to be eligible, with nominations made by the company or person who worked on the project.

Nominations will be evaluated for their innovation, community impact and logistics.

All submissions are due on August 30. For full details, or to nominate a project, click here.

Award recipients will be recognized during a special Awards Gala during Power Generation Week in Las Vegas, Nev.

Power Generation Week takes place Dec. 6-10, 2015, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event is the world’s largest power generation conference and features POWER-GEN International, Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo North America, NUCLEAR POWER International, COAL-GEN and GenForum.
