Hydropower plant owners, operators invited to submit nominations for POWER-GEN International Project of the Year award

The editors of Power Engineering magazine and RenewableEnergyWorld.com are now accepting nominations in the hydroelectric and marine energy category for their 2013 Projects of the Year awards program.

Projects from all parts of the world will be considered, though they must have come online between Aug. 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013 to be eligible.

Entries are due July 31.

All submissions will be scored on a number of criteria, including their innovation, and benefits to the community, economy and environment.

Awards for the winner and runner-up will be presented at a special gala during POWER-GEN Internationa, which runs Nov. 12-14, 2013 in Orlando, Fla.

Other categories include coal, nuclear, natural gas, solar, wind, geothermal and biomass energies.
