The editors of Hydro Review and HRW-Hydro Review Worldwide magazines have extended the HydroVision International 2014 call for abstracts following a surge in interest from those interested in presenting technical papers or participating on panel presentations.
Abstracts are now due Oct. 1, 2013, for consideration for inclusion in the 2014 conference and exhibition.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for hydro professionals to share their insight and expertise with the brightest minds in the industry,” said Marla Barnes, event director and publisher of PennWell’s Hydro Group.
Technical papers will be accepted in a number of categories, including environmental and social issues, equipment and technology, market trends and strategies, project management and operation, water management and movement, and more.
Meanwhile, panel presentations will be made in a number of sessions spread across seven conference tracks, including asset management, civil works and dam safety, new development, marine and hydrokinetic development, operations and maintenance, policies and regulations, and water resources.
All primary contacts will be notified via email no later than Jan. 31, 2014, regarding whether their abstract has been selected for inclusion at HydroVision International 2014.
HydroVision International is the world’s largest event dedicated entirely to the hydroelectric power industry. The 2013 conference and exhibition saw a 17% increase in attendance from 2012, featuring more than 3,100 attendees from 53 countries.
The 2014 event takes place July 22-25 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.
