HydroVision International again named to “Fastest 50” list for trade shows

HydroVision International, the world’s largest event dedicated to the hydroelectric power industry, has been recognized by Trade Show Executive as one of the fastest-growing tradeshows in the U.S. in 2015.

This marks the fourth year that HydroVision International has been honored as a recipient of Trade Show Executive‘s “Fastest 50” award. The 2015 event won in the category of Total Attendance (ranked by percentage of growth). HydroVision International 2015 — held in Portland, Ore. — boasted a record number of attendees from 57 countries.

Trade Show Executive’s published data shows that HydroVision International attendance grew 15.7% from 2014 to 2015, with net square feet of exhibit space growing by 10.8% and number if exhibiting companies growing by 10.1%.

“HydroVision International is seen as a crucial annual gathering place for hydro professionals from around the world,” said Marla Barnes, Vice President, Group Publishing Director, Hydro and Water Groups for PennWell. “In a time of tight budgets when staff travel often is getting cut, it’s gratifying to see attendance at HydroVision International continuing to grow so significantly. This growth demonstrates how important attendance at the event is to hydro professionals the world over.”

Represented at the HydroVision International Conference and Exhibition were large and small hydropower producers; project developers; construction, law, consulting, engineering and financial firms; equipment manufacturers and suppliers; policy-makers and regulators; resource agencies; and other non-governmental organizations affected by hydroelectric development and operation.

HydroVision International 2016 takes place July 26-29 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
