India developer seeks bids to build 7.5-MW Khangten

North Eastern Electric Power Corp. (NEEPCO) seeks bids for turnkey construction of the 7.5-MW Khangten hydroelectric project in India’s Arunachal Pradesh State. Bids are due January 29.

NEEPCO seeks civil works construction, supply of three 2.5-MW horizontal Pelton turbine-generators, and other electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment. NEEPCO issued a similar solicitation for the project in 2006. (HNN 10/2/06)

The work, valued at 434 million rupees (US$11 million) is to be completed in 24 months.

Bidding documents may be obtained from the address below for 10,000 rupees (US$256) by demand draft to NEEPCO Ltd. at Shillong. The documents also may be obtained from the NEEPCO Internet site, www.neepco.gov.in, with the document fee paid at the time of bid submission.
