India developer seeks electro-mechanical equipment for 7.5-MW Sarsuma hydro project

Developer SAS Hydel Projects Pvt. Ltd. seeks bids to supply electro-mechanical equipment for the 7.5-MW Sarsuma small hydropower project being built in Damoh District of Madhya Pradesh State. Bids are due May 20.

India’s Ministry of New & Renewable Energy issued a draft in February of the National Mission on Small Hydro to advance development of small hydropower projects up to 25 MW. Also in February, Canadian renewable energy developer P2 Solar Inc. announced acquisition of the 9.5-MW Barkote 1 and 5-MW Barkote 2 small hydropower projects in India.

In the current solicitation, SAS Hydel seeks bids for design, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning of three vertical Kaplan turbine-generators, governors, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, controls and other equipment.

Tender documents may be obtained for 10,000 rupees or US$200 in the form of a demand draft to M/s. SAS Hydel Projects Pvt. Ltd., payable at Chennai. Details are available at www.bginfra.com. Questions may be submitted until May 3, with a pre-bid conference scheduled May 6.
