India developer seeks equipment for 2-MW Ganganahal

Bhavana Hydro Electric Private Ltd. seeks bids to supply turbine-generators and other equipment for the two-plant, 2-MW Ganganahal hydropower scheme in India’s Karnataka State. Bids are due July 21.

Bhavana seeks design, manufacture, installation, testing, and commissioning of Francis turbines, generators, auxiliaries, indoor switchyard with transformer, and all other electro-mechanical equipment.

Ganganahal comprises two hydro plants of 1 MW each on the D-7 Distributory of SBC at Shahapur Taluk, Gulbarga District of Karnataka. One plant is to feature a head of 20 meters and discharge of 6 cubic meters per second. The other is to have a head of 24 meters and discharge of 5 cms.

Bidding documents, in English, may be obtained from the address below until July 15 for 10,000 rupees or US$230 in cash or demand draft to Bhavana Hydro Electric Private Ltd. at Bangalore. Delivery of documents costs an additional 1,000 rupees domestically or US$50 for foreign delivery.
