India developer seeks initial work at 252-MW Devsari

India developer Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (SJVN) invites expressions of interest for preliminary work at the site of the 252-MW Devsari hydroelectric project on India’s Pindar River. Responses are due December 1.

SJVN has been allocated the development of Devsari (or Devasari) in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand State. (HNN 10/8/08) In 2006, the developer recruited consultants to perform environmental impact assessments of Devsari and two other projects.

In the current solicitation, SJVN seeks expressions of interest from architects to prepare a master plan, architectural details, structural design, and a bill of quantities for buildings to be constructed at the Devsari project site near Tharali. Prospective bidders will be short-listed for issuance of a solicitation.
