India developer seeks surveys for three projects

Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corp. (NHDC) seeks bids by April 4 for reservoir surveys of three proposed hydroelectric projects on the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh State.

NHDC seeks detailed topographical and cross-sectional surveys of reservoirs for 55-MW Bauras, 60-MW Hoshangabad, and 51-MW Handia hydroelectric projects. The developer, a joint venture of National Hydroelectric Power Corp. and Madhya Pradesh, has completed pre-feasibility reports and is preparing detailed project reports for the projects.

Tender documents and detailed scopes of work for each project may be obtained until April 3 for 1,500 rupees (US$34) plus a courier charge of 250 rupees (US$5.70) by crossed demand draft to NHDC Ltd. at Bhopal. The documents also are available on the NHDC Internet site, www.nhdcindia.com.
