India developer seeks trash rake for 120-MW Sewa 2

India’s National Hydroelectric Power Corp. (NHPC) seeks bids to supply a trash rack cleaning machine for the 120-MW Sewa Stage 2 hydroelectric project on the Sewa River. Bid documents must be obtained by April 27, with bids due June 12.

NHPC said it seeks international competitive bids for design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of one trash rack cleaning machine for the project in India’s Jammu and Kashmir State. NHPC awarded a contract in 2005 to OM Metals Ltd. of India to supply all hydro-mechanical equipment for Stage 2.

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below until April 27 for 1,500 rupees or US$40 by crossed demand draft to National Hydroelectric Power Corp. Ltd. at Faridabad. Requests must be labeled �Request for bid documents for design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of TRCM complete with all accessories for Sewa HE Project, Stage II.�

Bid documents also may be obtained from the NHPC Internet site,, with a letter of confirmation and the document fee sent to the address below by May 2.
