India finance agency seeks consultants to aid renewables lending

The India government’s Power Finance Corp. (PFC) seeks proposals from consultants to serve as Business Development Associates to assist in lending for renewable energy projects including small hydropower. Responses are due February 1.

PFC proposes to empanel a limited number of Business Development Associates who are to bring bankable loan proposals of renewable energy, cogeneration, energy saving, and captive power projects. The associates also are to assist their clients in furnishing loan applications in prescribed format to assist in financial assistance from PFC.

A tender notice may be obtained from the PFC Internet site at http://pfc.gov.in/tender_co.html, under Empanelment of Business Development Associates.

Applications are due by mail to the address below by February 1, accompanied by a 5,000 rupee (US$128) fee by demand draft or banker’s check to Power Finance Corp. at New Delhi.
