India firm seeks bids to build, equip three small projects

Ascent Hydro Projects Ltd. seeks global bids for electro-mechanical equipment and domestic bids for civil works and hydro-mechanical equipment for three small projects on Sutlej River in Himachal Pradesh State.

The projects are 5-MW Sechi in Kullu District and 5-MW Melan and 4-MW Panwi in Kinnaur District. Electro-mechanical work includes engineering, procurement, and construction for each two-unit plant. Civil and hydro-mechanical work includes diversion weirs, water conductors, desilting chambers, forebay, powerhouse, tailrace tunnel, and penstock gates.

All bids for Sechi are due at noon August 28. Bid documents may be obtained from the address below until August 21.

All bids for Melan and Panwi are due at noon September 15. Bid documents may be obtained until September 4.

The fee for civil and hydro-mechanical works documents is 10,000 rupees (US$115) plus 500 rupees (US$40) postage. The fee for electro-mechanical works documents is 7,500 rupees (US$200) plus postage. Fees are payable by demand draft to Ascent at Pune.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled August 17 for electro-mechanical bidders for all three projects. A pre-bid meeting for civil and hydro-mechanical bidders is set August 18.
