India firm seeks equipment for 528-MW Tapovan Vishnugad

India’s NTPC Ltd. seeks bids in separate solicitations for electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment for the 528-MW Tapovan Vishnugad hydroelectric project on the Dhauliganga River in India’s Uttaranchal State. (HNN 8/16/06)

Bids are due by 11 a.m. November 27 for the complete electro-mechanical package including four 132-MW vertical Pelton turbines, governors, four 144.44-MVa generators, excitation, transformers, valves, cranes, auxiliaries, switchgear, and supervisory control and data acquisition system. Bid documents may be obtained from the address below until 3 p.m. November 6.

Bids are due by 11 a.m. December 1 for the complete hydro-mechanical package including gates, trashrack cleaning machines, hoists, cranes, controls and accessories. Bid documents may be obtained from the address below until 3 p.m. November 10.

Bid documents for each solicitation cost 22,500 rupees for Indian bidders or US$500 for foreign bidders in the form of an account payee demand draft to NTPC Ltd., New Delhi.
