India firm seeks tunnel work at 111-MW Sawra Kuddu

Pabbar Valley Power Corp. (PVPC) seeks bids by June 16 for construction of an 11-kilometer headrace tunnel for the 111-MW Sawra Kuddu hydroelectric project on the Pabbar River in Himachal Pradesh State. Bid documents must be obtained by May 3.

Construction of the tunnel and adits is to be completed in 48 months at an estimated cost of 1.54 billion rupees (US$34.6 million).

Documents may be obtained until May 3 from the address below for 10,000 rupees (US$225), plus 200 rupees (US$4.50) if sent by post, by crossed demand draft to PVPC Ltd., Shimla, drawn on any government-owned bank at Shimla. Two-part bids are due by noon June 16.
