India firm signs to develop five projects

Energy Development Co. Ltd. said January 14 it signed a memorandum of understanding to develop five hydroelectric projects in India’s Arunachal Pradesh State.

Energy Development told the Bombay Stock Exchange the agreement with the government of the northeastern India state calls for it to develop five plants totaling 210 MW on a build-own-operate-transfer basis.
