India firm to seek equipment for two small hydros

Super Hydro Electric (P) Ltd. (SHEPL) of New Delhi plans to issue a call for tenders in the first quarter of 2007 for civil construction and electro-mechanical equipment for two small hydro projects.

The projects are 4-MW Khirao Ganga and 24.3-MW Bhyunder Ganga, on tributaries of the Alaknanda River in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand State, the former Uttaranchal State.

SHEPL expects to complete the projects in the second half of 2008.
