India seeks grid work for 132-MW Teesta Low 3, 160-MW Teesta Low 4

India’s National Hydroelectric Power Corp. (NHPC) seeks bids for construction of transmission lines to deliver power from the 132-MW Teesta Low Dam Stage 3 and 160-MW Teesta Low Dam Stage 4 hydropower projects. Bids are due May 21.

Teesta Low Dam 3 (HNN 3/3/06) and Teesta Low Dam 4 (HNN 4/26/06) are being built on the Teesta River in India’s West Bengal State.

NHPC seeks domestic bids for design, manufacture, construction, supervision, testing, and commissioning of transmission line Package 2. The 220-kilovolt twin line is to run from Teesta Low Dam 3 to the Binaguri substation of West Bengal State Electricity Board.

Bid documents for tender No. NH/CONTS.(E&M)-III/TLDPs-02/PR-288/705/06 are to be available from March 26-April 16. Documents may be obtained from the NHPC Internet site, www.nhpcindia.com.
