India state seeks penstock replacement for 3-MW Galogi

The hydro development agency of India’s Uttarakhand State seeks bids for renovation and modernization of the penstock of the 3-MW Galogi hydroelectric project in Dehradun District. Bids are due July 17.

Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (UJVNL) seeks bids for design, manufacture, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of a penstock and its associated civil works for Galogi. The work is to be completed in 12 months.

Bid documents may be obtained until July 16 from the address below for 100,000 rupees (US$2,465) plus 10 percent trade tax. Payment is by demand draft to Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd., Account No. 30024638487, State Bank of India, Dehradun. The documents also may be obtained from the UJVNL Internet site,, with the fee submitted at the time of offer.
