Iran seeks builders for Bar Dam complex

An Iranian regional water authority invites applications for pre-qualification to build the Bar Dam project. Responses are due September 15.

With financing from the Islamic Development Bank, Khorasan Razavi Regional Water Authority (KRWA) seeks contractors to construct the two-dam project on the Bar River, 23 kilometers northwest of Neyshabur in Khorasan Razavi Province.

Work includes a 35.5-meter-tall, 1,500-meter-long clay-core earthen dam; a concrete diversion dam including a 35-meter-long ogee spillway, sediment basins, and intakes; and a 1,815-kilometer concrete-lined conveyance channel.

Pre-qualification documents may be inspected at the address below through July 31.
