Italian province seeks electro-mechanical equipment for 4.19-MW Belfiore hydro project

Verona’s municipal utility seeks bids to supply and install electro-mechanical equipment for the 4.19-MW Belfiore hydroelectric project in Belfiore, Verona Province, Italy. Bids are due October 30.

Azienda Generale Servizi Municipali di Verona SpA (AGSM) proposes to construct the small hydro plant below the 20-MW Zevio hydro project on SAVA Canal on the Adige River. Other hydro projects on the Adige include 32-MW Tel, 1.23-MW Chievo, 87-MW Castelbello, and 105-MW Glorenza.

AGSM seeks bids to supply three Kaplan turbine-generators designed for flows of 10 to 50 cms and net heads of 2.3 to 4.7 meters. Valued at 8 million euros (US$10.8 million), the work is expected to require 15 months.
