Italy agency seeks conduit, equipment for San Salvatore hydro

The water resources agency for Italy’s Calabria Region seeks bids for a pressure conduit and electro-mechanical equipment for the San Salvatore hydroelectric project on the Menta River. Bids for two solicitations are due August 27.

Societa Risorse Idriche Calabresi SpA (So.Ri.Cal.) seeks bids in separate solicitations for civil works to install pressure conduit and to supply and install electro-mechanical equipment for San Salvatore, which is to be built at the existing Menta Dam on the So.Ri.Cal. water supply system. The project is expected to utilize a head of 1,000 meters to generate 22 gigawatt-hours per year on a peaking basis.

The contract for conduit work is valued at 13.06 million euros (US$18 million), while the electro-mechanical works contract is valued at 4.93 million euros (US$6.8 million).

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below and from the So.Ri.Cal. Internet site, www.soricalspa.it. Bids for both solicitations, in Italian, are due by 1 p.m. August 27.
