Joubert stepping down from Alstom

LEVALLOIS-PERRET, France 2/3/12 (PennWell) — Philippe Joubert, deputy chief executive officer and president of Alstom’s power businesses, has resigned from the company.

Joubert, 57, was awarded the deputy CEO title in June 2011 after Alstom CEO Patrick Kron called for a “major change” in the company’s organization. Joubert had previously been responsible for recovery and development in Alstom’s power sector.

A report from Reuters says Joubert will continue as an advisor to Kron on environmental and sustainable development issues.

A successor has not yet been named.
