Macedonia seeks repair of flood-damaged Pishica Dam

Macedonia’s agriculture and water agency seeks bids to repair the flood-damaged Pishica Dam at Probishtip, Macedonia. Bids are due June 25.

Another water management agency, JP Strezevo, last year took bids for repairs and maintenance of equipment for hydropower projects. Utility AD Elektrarni na Makedonija also took bids last year for technical supervision of dam safety civil work at the 36.4-MW St. Petka and 82-MW Kozjak hydroelectric projects and to construct the dam and other civil works of the 70-MW Boskov Most hydroelectric project.

Macedonia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy now seeks bids to repair Pishica Dam, which was damaged by flooding in 2013. The work is expected to require 12 months.

Tender documents may be obtained from the government Internet site, http://e-nabavki.gov.mk. Bids are due by noon June 25.
