Mesh for fish screens sought by U.S. for 980-MW McNary Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to supply vertical barrier screen mesh panels for fish screens at 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River. Bids are due March 19.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District also took bids in March to refurbish upper bearing bracket arms at McNary, in Umatilla, Ore.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps now seeks bids to supply 81 mesh panels for 27 vertical barrier screens. The panels are described as 6 x 6 mesh size, 18 feet 2 inches long by 6 feet wide of monofilament polyethylene terephthalate.
